IMPROMPTU

Gosh....It's been almost 3 weeks since I last blog! And there have been so many changes in life within this period...

I started my new job..... I am officially broke from overspending on my new wardrobe of workwear.... I haven't been having one nice decent meal for the whole week...
I went for a personal trainer trial at the gym...
I am suffering from a intense case of skin allergy...
I watched Phantom of the Opera! And....I am looking for an apartment to move....

Crazy huh? Yeah.....work is good....I am spending more hours at work now, means poor Rooney baby is missing his mommy most of the time. I only go for 20 mins lunch and often stay on till about 6:30 pm to finish up my work.....I like my new job honestly....I love the job I do in there and I love my boss. She is the nicest one can ever get and I am sooo thankful of that. But it gets pretty quiet in the office. And often, I face the monitor and do my work whole day without a chat with my colleagues. I seem so out of place.....I guess I have to think on the bright side....its just my first week and it WILL get better as time goes by.

And because of the long hours at work, I am toooooo tired to cook by the time I reach home at night. Ok, lets see, I had only leftover rice and soup for dinner on Tuesday.....and only had a protein drink and a sausage on Thursday. Monday I had fastfood because I was in the rush to go to the gym. I gotta work out some time to eat man!

Ooooo....I watched Phantom of the Opera. Although Althony Warlow (the original Phantom) did not act that nite, the whole show was still AWESOME! And I am deeply in love with the guy who played Raoul, Alexander Lewis....

Hahah....okok....still can't see clearly.....Check this picture of him I hunt down at Google....

OMG is he HAWT!!! HOT HOT HOT!!!! And that picture above still don't do him justice. He seriously had those really Irish Englishman look.....like a younger version of Hugh Grant. I can't help but smile umpteen times that nite whenever he smiles or sings.....I am TOTALLY IN LOVE WITH HIS SMILE and HIS VOICE!!!!

The whole show was brilliant.......fantastic props and backdrops, perfect chandelier....there is nothing I can complain of....except I would love it if it was Anthony Warlow who played the Phantom part....and more of RAOUL! muaaahahahahahha.....

Oooo...and, I am down with serious itchy skin allergy. I suspect its because I have been wearing all new clothes the entire week and some chemical in it must be irritating my soft skin! I've got on intensive moisturiser + anti histamine now hoping it'll cure soon...

ARGHHHHH.....*itch* *itch*

Shit...gtg...its again almost 10:30pm...Gotta shower and sleep and prepare for a one whole week of battle again!!!

**Apologies for such impromptu post...I PROMISE PROMISE I will sit down more and blog as soon as I settle in my new life.....and I really mean PROMISE!**

OK....I'M BORED

I'm soooooooo bored in the office today that I had to google up the word BORED on Google Image. And guess what I found? Heaps of bored bunch doing bored things.

ZzZzZzZzZzZzZzZzZzZzZzZzZzZzZzZzZzZzZzZzZzZzZz

And all of a sudden, outta nowhere, boss comes in my room and suggested me the 'fun-est' thing to do in the office....playing house! I get to reshuffle everything in my packed office before the new boss comes in.....to maximise the available space so that I don't look too cramped...and bored in a supposedly-big-but-cramped-up-small room...YIPPIEEEEEEEE!!!

All the circled RED stuffs has gotta go!!

As you can see....I'm surrounded by rows and piles of files and documents and fax machine and printer.....I think if the file above me all topple over....I'm gonna be burried alive underneath there. And there is soooo many space behind my desk!! So so save me, my boss has asked if I wanna shuffle it ard....and the best thing about it is we've got 'removalists' living just next door!! Now you know what firies do when they are not putting out fire.....kekeekekekek......

Enuff about office shuffling project.....it will take some time to think where to put those piling-up files and documents and finding the perfect spot to dwell upon 7 hrs a day!

We ordered the sushi platter from Makota last Friday. Been in Sydney 4 years now and how shameful to say I have not tried Makoto Sushi before.....The platter cost like $39.90 and trust me, its really worth it....it's like equivalent to 16 plates of individual sushis and yum they were YUMMY YUMMY YUMMY!

I'm not only bored at work, I get bored at home too....I went and bought those miso soup bowls with cover (as seen above) just so that I can have more fun when making miso soup at home....

Haha....drooling already?? I am....
(pause)
(pause)
(still pause)
Mmmmm....alrite, I'm still bored....back to work now....

PHANTOM OF THE OPERA

Yay! I'm going to watch Phantom of the Opera!!! Despite it being such a great show and how tickets going off like hot cakes and it has seem IMPOSSIBLE to get nice front seats, I STILL MANAGE TO GET THEM!

I've been internet hunting for the whole morning and after checking the tickets by clicking each and every day of the performance, I bump into two IRRESISTABLE OFFER. I manage to get into showbiz and on the 26 June show, they still have seats from Row C! That is like....fifth row from the front. Cannot resist it....bought it.

SO I AM GOING TO THE SHOW

And....f*ck that conman seller from Gumtree who tried to con me $300 to buy her so-call first row absolutely dead centre seats. I already felt the dodginess when she offered $250 for 3 first row tickets which are currently being bid at ebay for at least $159! 11 email correspondences later, she still refuse to meet me to complete the transaction. My numerous request for her mobile phone no also came to no avail. And guess what, she gave me a stupid Adelaide address, indicating she can't meet me coz she's in Adelaide.

Guess what, conwoman.....firstly, if you live in Adelaide, why would you buy 3 $109.90 tickets for the Sydney show and then selling them below market price? Crazy ar? Money too much is it?

So...beware of this seller with this email address: samanthakeen@y7mail.com

BIATCH!.....trying to con my hard earn money!

So, I reported her to Gumtree admin service, they had her ad removed so she cannot con ppl anymore!

As for me.....I'll settle with Row 5 seats...be thankful that we can still get such GREAT seats....and WE ARE GOING TO THE SHOW NEXT MONTH!!!

WAIT FOR ME DEFORMED-FACED SINGING MAN.....I'M COMING TO SEE YOU SOOOOON! =)

FINGERS CROSSED

Sorry for the absence the past week. I had been getting my hands full on preparing for interview and more interview. 2 down.....and a weekend to relax now. I think I did well in the 2nd interview.....couldn't have asked for me. So the only thing I can do now is to keep my fingers crossed....for luck that I'll get the job.

I was very happy with my performance in the interview yesterday, not that I say I will definitely get the job but at least I had no regrets of not doing this or not saying that by the time I walked out of the office. So as a form of encouragement to myself, I am treating myself a lil gift as an 'encouragement'. Keke....there's always a million reason to spoil yourself!

And what's the best gift to present yourself other than a watch?

And what's better than buying yourself a BREIL? (ok lar...I know there's tag heuer lar...but dun forget I am only just starting to work. Breil's the best I could afford)

I walked past the shop at QVB yesterday and fell in love with this red leather strap number. I refrained myself from buying it on the spot, just in case it was a case of impulsive spending. I waited till this morning and decided I still want it.

Ok....I'm not good with leather strap watches. Simply because I treat any watch I have as if it's a super durable army watch or something. I even wear my watch to swim last time....and have a bad habit of banging my watch to the railings on stairways. I know I am a freak but I like to sound of the metal strap against the metal railing....

But think about it, I want a watch to wear to work actually. I dunno what job I will be getting but I think I could do with a decent nice watch to wear to work. The one I am wearing now, it's been with me since I was like at Form 2 or something....11 years! And the fact it's more of a sentimental value now, I'll still wear it whenever I can. Just that wearing a Breil looks more professional. =) So....splurge a bit lar. I think I deserve it.

And dun play play....Charlize Theron is the spokesperson for Breil. Ooooo...and RED.....red leather strap BREIL....stricking yet distinctive......

BREIL....DON'T TOUCH MY BREIL.......

THE ROAD IS FINALLY OPENED!

Holy Mother of God! I got a call early this morning....and it was from my migration agent

MY PR APPLICATION IS OFFICIALLY APPROVED!

I AM OFFICIALLY AN AUSTRALIAN PERMANENET RESIDENCY!

I have waited almost 9 months plus for it...had been looking forward to this day since 2 freaking years ago....and the stork has finally arrived with this precious baby for me!

It was more to having a sense of relief than happy excited actually. A friend asked if I have jumped up and down 10 times already since I got the news. And the answer is just a simple "no" because after all the trouble and obstacles and choices I had to make to come to this conclusion....I am just relieved that the road is finally opened. Opened for me to walked further on until I meet another decision in residency again: To stay or to go.

But regardless, I do feel a bit solemn after the excitement of getting the news. It's like I could see myself finally asking myself, "So, the day has finally arrived. Worth all the wait?"

Now, thankfully, everything seemed to worked out these 2 years, Mum's fully recovered from her battle with cancer devil, school fees paid, made new besties on the way and finally......the DAY has arrived.

Can you see the clear path ahead?? What's next in the menu then? Bring it on!

BAD DAY....

I had one the most unlucky day today....

Woke up at 6:30 this morning, all set to reach office at 8:00 so that I could leave early for my most-anticipated-event-of-the-week....FACIAL....

It wasn't until 7:45 that I got into the bus heading to Crows Nest....ok, i thought, still stand a chance to reach at 8:15, better than nothing.

*wtf*

The bus did not stop! And, yes, I did press the 'stop' bell. But it just zoomed passed the bus stop and all the way it went, downhill, thru some winding roads, straight, passed a few stops and finally stop at a housing area. I was already so pissed I could have pull off the driver's head if he wasn't driving the bus full of innocent passengers. I questioned him why did he not stop at the bus stop in front of the fire station....

(blur faced, acting innocent) "huh? wat fire station? No, no...."
Arghhhhh.....%$#*@&#.....

So I got off the bus and was left stranded in a land of no where with just houses n bushes around me. I had no idea where I was....I am practically....

LOST!

I walked around blindly, until I reach a small clinic within the housing area and saw this

GOD BLESSED ME! I peeped at the bus schedule and to my relieve, its a familiar bus no.! The bus goes to my direction! And by the time I reach the office....its already 8:30. Darn! All effort of waking up early went down the drain just like that!

Nvm, at least still got my most anticipated facial this evening.... *Happy* ....When I call up the beauty centre to reconfirm my appointment....They told me they had actually booked me in for next Wednesday because this whole week they were totally booked out.

*DUNG!*

Bye-bye facial....

BUSY! BUSY! BUSY!

I'm extremely busy today...too busy to even stop to replenish my low energy level. Hop outta bed at 6:30 this morning, just in time to reach work at 8:00am SHARP. Been running ard the office since!

Burning 15 CDs on the other room, so running there every now & then to change CD
Editing some letter templates and printing them
Photocopy my drafts into letterheads
Making calls to chase up some queries
Compiling those SLM packs to be HAND DELIVERED!
Accounts to be paid

And I've got till 2pm to juggle them around so I can leave on time. It's C's graduation big day today & I gotta rush to the city to get E's pressie for her, rush home to bring Rooney for a short walk, freshen up my make up, rush out back to the city again in time to meet up with C...

So its RUSH, RUSH & MORE RUSH THROUGHOUT THE DAY!
And I can't wait for dinner at Meat & Wine Co. tonite.....perfect end to a busy day!

Meanwhile......

***Happy Graduation my Dear Friend!***

SEQUEL TO THUMB WAXING: SKIN PEELING

The weather took a turn last Friday....chilly and windy, we came up with the brilliant idea of doing steamboat at home.....perfect! Not long before we started off, cutting the looong story short, bf's chopstick skill wasn't good enuff....I ended up with this:

Ok....I know....I've got sensitive skin that's thinner than a 'fu chuk' skin......The thing is, I was wearing a 3/4 sleeve top that night but either the soup was really THAT hot or my top was really CHEAP....

*ARGHHHHH* Why on earth do I always have to endure all these unwanted skin peeling??

THUMB WAXING

I had a unpleasant spot at my thumb the other day and decided to stick a band-aid there to hide that unpleasant view. I did not bother to take it out before going to bed and only decided it was time when I return home from work the next day.

Thinking the band-aid was only there because it was to hide the flaws on my thumb, I pull off the band-aid with my mighty force. After all, no wounds = no pain.

I WAS WRONG.....I WAS TERRIBLY TERRIBLY WRONG! Not only did I pull off that piece of ugly-looking plaster, it came off with a chunk of skin as well, immediately exposing my bare flesh just below my thumb nail.....ARGHhhHHHH....*pain* That was when I realise I did a brazillian on my thumb.....

#%*@#* Painnnnnnn!!! *slaps myself on the head*

Ok....shut up! I know what you are about to say next....my thumbnail looks weird....ENUFF of it....just keep it to yourself! I know it's weird since I know it is weird. No need to rub it in.

Moral of the story: Do not make assumptions because almost 99% of them are WRONG!
