UPDATE: I've just received a call from the foster parent saying she won't be releasing Isabelle to me because they have under estimated ur size. Apparently she is really emaciated now and is expected to gain more weight in the next few weeks. So she is more suited for a backyard rather than a apartment....I am extremely disappointed and sad rite now.....Take care Baby Bella, may you get a new 'mummy' who will love u to bits really really soon.....You'll be in my prayers.......
Everyone, meet Isabelle! Well, frankly, I, myself, have yet to meet her but I was hoping when we do, she and Rooney will get along like two peas in a pod. I practically ransacked all animal shelter websites this whole week but couldn't seem to skim out the perfect one. It's practically like fetching a needle off the ocean, just like the chinese saying. I'm not the fussy one I must say. Or I have a high tolerance to how the munchkin must look like. Every dog seem cute and innocent to me but Ian wanted something thats like Mr. Roo.....long silky hair, maltese, young, cute (and his definition is a really strict CUTE look).
Initially I have spotted out Elisa...a 2 year old female maltese that seem perfect to Ian's criteria...cute....check, young...check, maltese...check. But due to my almighty procrastination powers, she has been adopted late evening yesterday! How coincident! And the kind lady I spoke over the phone recommended Isabelle then....My heart felt hopeful at that time until I saw the pic....PERFECT!
I called up the foster 'mum' and had a fair bit of chat with her as well. Apparently Isabelle was found wandering the streets looking absolutely emaciated. She was been absolutely timid and will panic at basically everything....dogs, children, babies, human beings....you name it, she's scared of it. The foster 'mum' warned me that she will scream at absolute terror and will take some time to put her trust on someone or someplace again. So, it kinda tore my heart a bit upon listening to all this. I mean, look at her....she seem perfect. Why would someone left her off the street to die? I felt so sorry for her past. On the other side, I felt so eager to start back my role as a 'mother' again! Ever since Rooney turned 1 year old, he had been quite independent already. I missed those days when I used to get off the bed early to hand feed baby Roo, play with him, teach him new tricks and toilet training him. I had to say it was pretty tough but the results was worth it. It's been a while since the maternity instinct of mine rode off and all of a sudden, I can foresee myself back with it when baby Bella comes home with us (*fingers crossed*)
I've got the nod from my big boss so we will be off to see our future new baby Bella this Saturday. Coming along would be our lil Boss who will be the prime consideration towards this adoption.
